Sabrina, you have been working at paulimot in the Finance and Administration team since July 2021. How did you come to paulimot?
That's right, I work at paulimot as a finance and administration clerk. After completing my training as an automotive clerk, I looked around for a suitable position and came across the job advertisement at paulimot. The activities described in the advert immediately appealed to me, as I had already enjoyed the areas of accounting and administration during my training. This impression was confirmed in the interview and I also felt very comfortable on a personal level during the interview. The combination of the technically suitable and challenging tasks, the excellent location of the company in relation to my place of residence and the friendly colleagues quickly won me over. In addition, at the time of my interview, the new building and extension were already in full swing and it was great to see that the company was expanding and developing.
How do you like working in a family business?
I wasn't familiar with the structures in a family business, as I completed my training in a large corporation. But I find it very pleasant that all the employees know each other and that I was immediately accepted as part of the team. I was part of the paulimot family from day one and I really appreciate that. The decision-making processes at paulimot are short and I can approach my team leader or other colleagues at any time if I have a question. I enjoy going to work every day and, in addition to the exciting tasks, the good team spirit in the company makes sure of that.
You just mentioned the "Team paulimot". How do you work together in the finance and administration team and what are your tasks?
I form the Finance and Administration team together with my team leader Nina, deputy team leader Christine Paulitschek, my colleague Eva and our trainee Jamie. We always support each other with the tasks at hand and can rely on each other. Basically, my tasks can be divided into two areas: firstly, the tasks for Paulitschek Maschinen- und Warenvertriebsgesellschaft mbH and secondly, the invoicing services that we carry out for a purchasing association. In the morning, I always go through the mailboxes first and prioritise and structure the tasks for the day. For paulimot, I allocate and enter receipts in the financial accounting software "DATEV Unternehmen online", consult with colleagues about invoices received and prepare documents for the tax office. My tasks also include administrative activities. For the purchasing association, I am the contact person for its members and suppliers for all matters relating to invoicing and accounting. We record the invoice documents, pay them to the suppliers and collect the amounts from the members using the SEPA direct debit scheme.
Is there anything you particularly enjoy about your tasks?
