Job title: Logistics employee
In the team since: December 2020
Hobbies: Cycling, playing tennis, Sudoku
Trademark at paulimot: Always comes to work on time
My main tasks are everything to do with shipping. This means that I pick and pack the ordered products so that customers can hold the goods in their hands as quickly as possible. However, I also take on tasks such as restocking the warehouse shelves or assisting with the receipt of new goods. I actually enjoy every task. My team leader Frank and our deputy team leaders Anna and Ilja have developed a rotating system. The tasks mentioned are regularly reassigned between my colleagues Anna, Tomasz, Ilja, Sabine and myself. The resulting variety means it never gets boring!
In principle, all logistical activities only work together, which is why a lot of value is placed on good coordination within the team. Collaboration with my colleagues, but also with my team leaders, is always open and on an equal footing, which I personally really appreciate. If a team member needs support with a task, it is a matter of course at paulimot to help each other.
Yes, I used to work in logistics as a forklift driver and warehouse clerk. I was then employed as a fitter for a long time. I heard about the vacancy in the Technology & Logistics team at paulimot through an acquaintance and could well imagine working in logistics again.
I immediately noticed the family atmosphere. I know from my own experience that this cannot be taken for granted. Whether young or old - working together at paulimot is always very respectful.
One of our favourite items is our drilling machine vice with 100 mm jaw width. We therefore pick and dispatch this vice very frequently. Due to its light weight of just under 4 kg, it is still fun to pick the item. Packing is also quite easy thanks to a sturdy outer box, which is why the large shipping quantities can be handled well.
Thank you very much, Waldemar, for the interview and the many interesting insights into your day-to-day work at paulimot.
