This tap wrench is made of die-cast zinc in accordance with DIN 1814 and is used to hold tools with a square at the end of the cylindrical shank. The handle on the side of the fixed jaw can be unscrewed.

The hammer-finished tap wrenches in this set are made from drop-forged steel and are very sturdy. The four taps can be used to clamp (hand) taps from M2 to M22 or square shanks from 2 x 2 to 11 x 11 mm. The jaws of the tap wrenches are hardened.
With this tap wrench set, hand taps to DIN 352 from M3 to M12 can be clamped without tools. The tap wrenches are made of tool steel and ground. The partial knurling of the union nut enables a better grip when inserting the respective tap.

Zum möglichst geraden Ansetzen, vor allem in
Zum möglichst geraden Ansetzen, vor allem in empfindlichen Kunststoffen, ist das 'normale' Windeisen manchmal einfach nicht feinfühlig genug zu führen, und genau dann kommt dieser massive und dick verchromte Kollege hier zum Einsatz. Die Schneideisen werden bei meinem Exemplar allerdings nicht ganz exakt 100%ig gerade geführt, da muss ich wohl mal bei. Ist aber imho kein Beinbruch, und von irgendwo muss der Preis ja auch herkommen.

Enttäuschend, klemmt nicht axial (unwuchtig), kein Zentrum im Griff vorhanden zur Führung mittels Zentrierspitze. Lieber etwas teurer dafür brauchbar.
