Milled prisms for clamping cylindrical workpieces
Description of the
The protective jaws made of aluminium have a width of 100 mm and a jaw height of 28 mm. The jaws of this pair are designed differently. While one of the protective jaws has a continuous, horizontal prism milled into it, the second jaw also has three vertical prisms. These prisms also make the protective jaws suitable for clamping cylindrical workpieces. The milled shoulder is used for clamping flat workpieces.
There are two magnets on the inside of each of the protective jaws. This prevents the jaws from falling off when clamping or releasing the workpiece.
These protective jaws are used to protect a workpiece that is clamped in a vice. To fulfil this function, these protective jaws must be made of a very soft material (aluminium). Due to the soft material, this product may show tiny scratches even when new, without this constituting a defect.
