This wooden walking frame consists of several slat profiles made of dried, solid beech wood. The individual slats are attached to three plastic-coated steel cables, which allows the grating to be rolled up. The cable tension allows a length difference of +/- 25 mm. Grooves are milled into the slat profiles, creating an anti-slip and non-slip surface. The grooves are milled on both sides to prevent the grating from warping. Using this wooden walking surface is easy on joints and muscles thanks to the rubber cushioning, even when standing for long periods. Metal and wood shavings fall down between the slat profiles and can be easily removed from the floor once the grating has been rolled up. The wooden grating is largely resistant to oils, greases, acids and glowing shavings.
