Description of the
This starter set includes six woodturning knives made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel with ash wood handles. This type of steel is mainly used for woodworking tools. It is characterised by high hardness and resistance to wear. This set is designed for different work steps in spindle and contour turning. The selection includes a parting tool for precise plunge-cutting and cutting work as well as a pointed scraper, which is used for reworking tight internal contours, radii and hard-to-reach areas. An oval chisel enables clean surfaces, fine contours and controlled tool guidance during spindle work. Two shell tubes are available for shaping internal and external contours, which are suitable for processing small shells and for universal hollow and moulding work. A roughing tube completes the set for fast material removal and round turning of square material during initial machining. The tool selection enables versatile machining of workpieces made of softwood and hardwood and offers practical basic equipment for users who want to carry out both spindle and simple moulding projects.
