Description of the
This starter set includes eight woodturning knives made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel with ash wood handles. This type of steel is mainly used for woodworking tools. It is characterised by high hardness and resistance to wear. This set is designed for different work steps in spindle and contour turning. The selection includes a parting tool for precise plunge-cutting and cutting work as well as two scrapers in pointed and round versions, which are used for reworking internal moulds, radii and hard-to-reach areas. Two bevelled chisels with different blade widths enable both intricate detail work and the clean shaping of larger spindle surfaces. Two spindle gouges are available for moulding curves and fillets, which can be used for everything from fine detail work to universal spindle machining. A roughing tube completes the set for fast material removal and round turning of square material during initial machining. The tool selection enables versatile machining of workpieces made of softwood and hardwood and offers practical basic equipment for users who want to carry out both spindle and simple shell projects.
