Intended use
Centre drills are used to create holes of a defined diameter, which are required as a basis for the subsequent thread cutting. They produce a dimensionally accurate centre hole that corresponds to the required thread type and size. This enables a precise, durable internal thread and reduces tool wear during thread cutting.

Description of the
The drill bits in this five-piece core drill bit set are made of HSS steel with a five per cent cobalt content (M35). The cobalt alloy gives the drill bits increased heat hardness and very good wear resistance. They are suitable for machining stainless steels, hardened steels and high-strength alloys.
