Intended use
A direct collet chuck is a clamping device with which workpieces or tools can be clamped with high precision. When using direct collets, the tool or workpiece is clamped directly in the machine spindle with the collet without the use of an additional holder (such as a collet chuck in the ER collet system). Tools with a cylindrical shank such as milling cutters, drills, countersinks, taps, etc. can be clamped.
