Description of the

This marking gauge made from black anodised aluminium enables the precise marking of parallel lines as well as the quick transfer of recurring distances. With its nominal length of 280 mm, it offers a generous working area and is therefore also suitable for larger workpieces and markings further away from the edge of the workpiece. The sliding stop is adjusted to the desired dimension and securely fixed in place using the knurled brass screw. The knurling allows for comfortable operation by hand, meaning no additional tools are required for adjustment and securing. To mark, insert the tip of a pencil or a suitable marking pen into the small guide hole at the end of the ruler. The stop is then guided evenly along the edge of the workpiece. This produces a mark that runs perfectly parallel to the edge. The high-contrast white millimetre scale stands out clearly against the black surface, allowing the set measurement to be read quickly. Two scales arranged in opposite directions make it easier to use from different working positions. Thanks to the fine 1 mm graduations, the desired distances can be set clearly. A plastic ring positioned beneath the locking screw prevents direct contact between the brass screw and the ruler. This distributes the contact pressure and protects the anodised surface from scratches and indentations. The wide stop ensures stable contact with the workpiece edge. When correctly positioned, the tool can also be used as a T-square or as an adjustable stop gauge for measuring and marking at right angles. The combination of lightweight aluminium, a durable anodised finish and a non-slip brass screw makes the straight edge a high-quality and versatile measuring and marking aid for the workshop and on-site assembly.
