Description of the
This marking gauge impresses with its high-quality construction from black anodised aluminium and its versatile applications for measuring and marking. The adjustable stop allows the desired distances to be set continuously and transferred to a workpiece with repeatable accuracy. To mark out a parallel line, set the stop to the required measurement and secure it using the knurled brass screw. Then insert the tip of a pencil or a suitable marking pen into the small marking hole at the end of the ruler. Guiding the stop along the edge of the workpiece produces a mark that runs evenly and parallel. The high-contrast millimetre scale is permanently etched into the black surface and is easy to read even in poor lighting conditions. Two scales arranged in opposite directions allow for convenient use from different working positions. The 1 mm scale division enables quick and clear setting of the desired distance. The wide stop rests securely against the edge of the workpiece and ensures stable guidance. By sliding the stop to the end of the ruler, the tool can also be used as a compact T-square for measuring and marking at right angles. The non-slip knurled brass locking screw can be operated easily without the need for additional tools. A plastic ring positioned beneath the screw prevents direct metal-to-metal contact, distributes the contact pressure and protects the anodised surface of the ruler from scratches and indentations.
