Intended use
Change gears are used in the front gears of lathes. They are used to convert the rotary movement of the work spindle to the rotary movement of the lead screw in a specific ratio. This allows different, defined pitches or feed speeds to be achieved. If a change to a new pitch is required, the corresponding change gear combination specified in the change gear table is used. This is done by exchanging the gears on the primary reduction gear.

Description of the
This 9-piece change gear set made of C45 steel consists of two 80 mm, one 60 mm, one 50 mm, one 45 mm, two 40 mm, one 35 mm and one 30 mm gear. The change gear set can be used to replace the standard plastic change gears from the countershaft of the SIEG C2 lathe. The gears from this set are considerably more wear-resistant than the plastic gears and therefore have a significantly longer service life.
