Intended use
An oval chisel is mainly used for turning spindle wood and is used for cleanly cutting curves, chamfers and straight sections. The oval blade shape reduces the contact surface to the support, making it easier and more controlled to use. It enables smooth surfaces and precise contours, especially for pulling cuts. The oval chisel is suitable for finer detail work as well as for working on longer spindle sections.

Description of the
This oval chisel has a 19 mm wide and 160 mm long blade made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel. The high-speed steel used has a hardness of 57-63 HRC and therefore offers good wear resistance and stable cutting performance for spindle work. Thanks to its oval blade shape, the chisel can be guided more easily and with greater control over the tool rest and produces clean cuts on curves, chamfers and straight sections. With an overall length of 415 mm and a 255 mm ash wood handle, the tool is balanced in the hand and supports precise guidance both for detailed work and when working on longer spindle surfaces.
