Intended use
A bowl moulding is used for turning cross pieces of wood and is used to shape the inner and outer contours of smaller bowls and hollow bodies. Due to its fluting, it offers high stability with interrupted cuts and changing grain patterns. It enables both rough stock removal and controlled fine machining in the shell area. Thanks to its robust design, it is suitable for stress-intensive work sections during hollowing and moulding.

Description of the
This bowl gouge has a 13 mm wide and 230 mm long blade made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel. The high-performance high-speed steel used achieves a hardness of 57-63 HRC and therefore offers good wear resistance and stable cutting performance when loaded with crosscut wood. The deep groove ensures reliable guidance when moulding the inner and outer contours of small shells and hollow bodies. With an overall length of 570 mm and a 340 mm long handle made of ash wood, the tool sits comfortably in the hand and enables controlled guidance for both coarse removal work and finer moulding steps.
