Intended use
A bowl-turning spindle is used for turning cross-grain wood and is designed to shape the internal and external contours of smaller bowls and hollow objects. Thanks to its grooved design, it offers high stability during interrupted cuts and when working with varying grain directions. It allows for both rough removal of material and controlled fine finishing on the bowl surface. Due to its robust construction, it is suitable for high-stress stages of work during hollowing out and shaping.

Description of the
This bowl gouge has a 16 mm wide and 230 mm long blade made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel. The high-performance high-speed steel used achieves a hardness of 57-63 HRC and therefore offers good wear resistance and stable cutting performance when loaded with crosscut wood. The deep groove ensures reliable guidance when moulding the inner and outer contours of small shells and hollow bodies. With an overall length of 570 mm and a 340 mm long handle made of ash wood, the tool sits comfortably in the hand and enables controlled guidance for both coarse removal work and finer moulding steps.

sehr gutes Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis
Ich hatte nicht viel erwartet, aber für den Preis kann man wahrlich nicht meckern. Solides Material mit ordentlicher Standzeit ! Muss aber vorab geschärft bzw. diese Schalenröhre hier vorab noch umgeschliffen werden. Für Drechsler, die sich ohnehin mit dem Thema Schärfen etc. auskennen müssen ist das aber kein Problem.
