Trademark at paulimot: Can't do without his sandwich for breakfast
Tomasz
Tomasz, when did you join paulimot and what are your tasks?
I've been at paulimot since February 2022 and work in the Technology & Logistics team. My tasks in logistics include picking and packing goods for dispatch, processing returns and restocking the shelves in the picking area. The individual tasks are regularly rotated within the team, which makes the work very varied and exciting. I particularly enjoy picking and packing products. If a forklift driver is needed, I'm also happy to step in.
Who else is part of your team and how do you work together?
My team consists of the logistics employees Waldemar and Sabine as well as our deputy team leader Anna. On the other hand, there are the technical employees Jermaine, Michael and Ulrich. Together with our team leader Frank, we make up the Technology & Logistics department. Thanks to flat hierarchies and an open communication culture, teamwork is really fun here! I also appreciate the good structures in my department. Co-ordination with other teams, such as my colleagues in Technical Sales and Customer Support, also works smoothly.
What strengths should you have to work as a logistics employee?
As the name "logistics" suggests, you need to be able to think logically and independently. This is particularly useful when storing products, where care should be taken to fill the shelves sensibly. You should also be physically resilient and stress-resistant, as you will have to cope with a high volume of shipments, especially in the peak season from autumn onwards.
Were you already working in logistics before your time at paulimot? And how did you find out about paulimot?
I completed my training as a warehouse logistics specialist. I then worked in logistics and as a production manager. I finally heard about the job advert at paulimot through an acquaintance and as I was attracted not only by the work described but also by the company, I applied.
In your opinion, what makes paulimot different from other companies?
I've been on first-name terms with everyone since day one - including my team leaders and the management. In general, there is a very informal atmosphere in the company, which leads to a relaxed atmosphere in the entire paulimot team despite the demanding tasks. You also notice at paulimot that the line managers also actively support the work process. For example, my team leader Frank himself formulates the product descriptions for the online shop, which impresses me positively.
Thank you very much, Tomasz, for the interview and the many interesting insights into your everyday working life at paulimot.
