Comparison of wood band saws

When purchasing a wood band saw, the question often arises as to which machine is best suited and what should be considered when buying. Here you will find an overview of our wood band saws. We will introduce you to the individual models and show you the similarities and differences in terms of equipment and area of application. All models are operated via a 230 volt connection and have a rip fence and an angle fence. The rip fence can be switched between the flat and high guide depending on the application. The band saws are also equipped with infinitely variable height adjustment of the upper saw blade guide and an LED work light. Rubberised and ball-bearing mounted cast spoke wheels for smooth running of the saw blade and a table that can be tilted up to 45° are also part of the standard equipment of our wood band saws. A connection piece for an extraction system, a chip drawer, a workpiece pusher and a basic set of tools consisting of a set of Allen keys and an open-end spanner round off the accessories for our wood band saws.
Here is an overview of the technical details of the various models

Table with technical data of MJ9, MJ10, MJ12 and MJ14 wood band saws, including motor power, passage width and height, cutting speed and more.

MJ9 wood band saw - For fine work

The MJ9 is our smallest model and, unlike the three larger machines, is supplied without a base frame. It is powered by a 300 watt motor, is 500 mm long, 420 mm wide and 830 mm high and has a table height of 410 mm. The table measures 300 x 300 mm, can be swivelled and is made of cast aluminium. The throughput width of this wood band saw is 225 mm and the throughput height is 90 mm. The MJ9 has a cutting speed of 635 m/min. Saw bands with widths from 3 to 10 mm can be clamped in this model. The MJ9 is mainly suitable for processing soft and medium-hard wood.

The right band saw blades for the MJ9 - Uddeholm steel

Saw blades made of Uddeholm steel, which are produced in Germany, are not hardened and can be reground as required. They are characterised by their high load capacity, long service life and high cutting volume. Even intensive use does not cause excessive wear.

  • The length of the MJ9 is 1575 mm.
  • You can choose from the following widths: 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm
  • The thickness varies between 0.4 mm and 0.45 mm
  • All saw blades that we offer for the MJ9 have 6 teeth per inch. Ideal for processing soft wood.
