Intended use
Turning tools with carbide inserts are used for basic turning work such as longitudinal and facing turning, parting off, grooving, thread turning, mould turning, etc. Hard metals are characterised by their hardness, but especially by their toughness. They are harder than pure metals, alloys and hardened steel, but are more fragile. Due to their higher temperature resistance compared to HSS steels, cutting speeds of up to three times higher are possible for turning steels with carbide inserts.

Description of the
This comprehensive turning tool set with brazed-on carbide inserts can be used for turning work such as longitudinal and facing turning, parting off, grooving, internal boring etc.. This turning tool set is therefore ideal as a "starter set". The scope of delivery includes six different chisels for longitudinal turning, a chisel for facing and chamfering, a turning tool for parting off and grooving, two boring bars for internal boring and a chisel for grooving.
The cutting and flank faces of the turning tools in this set are already pre-ground. In order to achieve optimum turning results, the chip grooves must be ground in. As soon as the cutting edges of a chisel are worn, they must be reground. A diamond grinding disc, for example, is recommended for this.
